After trawling the internets, I found this soloution on steam’s forums:
The Corrupted file in question is mp_playlists.ff which is located in Steam\steamapps\common\call of duty modern warfare 2\zone\english folder. Go there, delete the file or move it elsewhere (size is 27kb) and the game will download the file and huzzah! No more lame freezes
This area is great for a text widget to put a few sentences about yourself or your blog.
